Sylvain Starsand Island: Gifts, Schedule & Romance

Sylvain composes on his balcony, runs the Silvan Notes music shop and covers shifts at the pet store when his cousin Stella is away. Like Delphin he is a flower lover, with fireflies added on top.

Daily routine

Mornings: composing on the balcony. Afternoons: hiking Crane Cape or Cloudrest Lake for inspiration; on clear afternoons he feeds the cats in the square. Nights he cheers Stella’s performances. In winter he helps at the pet store. Use the Social app on the in-game phone (Locate / Follow) to pin him on the map; routes change with season and weather.

Gifts Sylvain loves, likes and hates

You can give each NPC one gift per day. The lists below come from the game’s data export cross-checked against two independent player-tested guides: items marked confirmed appear at the same tier in at least two sources; the rest are listed only in the data export. All of this was verified during Early Access (patches 0.3–0.7) and is being re-checked for 1.0 — if something has changed, use the contact page.

Gift theme: Flowers of every colour (hydrangeas, Moonflower, Twilight Succulent, Yellow Sleep Lily…) and fireflies (Blue, Green, Red, Glazed).

Loved (+15 affection)

The data export lists 63 Loved items for Sylvain — far too many to print; the theme above summarises them. Confirmed by two sources: Yellow Sleep Lily, Moonflower, Twilight Succulent, Light Blue Hydrangea, Blue Hydrangea.

Liked (+10)

Confirmed: Pasture Grass, Mirage Sunflower, Water Spinach, Moondew Shroom, Sunveil Shroom, Chilled Twilight Salad, Grilled Mushrooms, Celeste Berry. The data export lists 274 Liked items in total (most common crops, cooked dishes and flowers).

Disliked (no gain; some sources report a loss)

Sugar painting

After a 2-heart photo together you can take the picture to the sugar-painting stall in town (100 gold) and hand Sylvain a “Sugar Painting – Sylvain”. Every NPC has a unique reaction to their own painting; reported affection gains range from 0 to +30 depending on the character. See the gifts guide for the full rundown.

Romance with Sylvain

Sylvain can be romanced by a player character of either gender. Affection runs on a five-heart scale (roughly 90 / 220 / 370 points for hearts 1–3, with 500 / 750 reported by players for hearts 4–5). Conversation (about 5 points a day), gifts, bulletin-board requests (15–30) and returning lost items (20) raise it. At three hearts you can enter his room (with a weekly blueprint chest) and, in 1.0, receive a Relationship Story; at five hearts a voiced invitation scene plays and the Move In option appears — the game has no wedding or children system, so cohabitation is the final step. He has a voiced 5-heart invitation scene; the letter tells you when and where. Dating activities (picnic, arcade, kite-flying) were extended to all 14 romanceable NPCs in 1.0.
