None — there has never been a public code to expire.
How to redeem (when a code exists)
- Launch Starsand Island and load a save file.
- Press Esc on PC (menu button on controller) to open the main menu.
- Select Redeem Gift — the gift-box panel. It is not inside the in-game phone.
- Type the code exactly as written. Codes are case-sensitive.
- Press Redeem.
- Check your inventory first; if there was no free slot, the reward goes to your mailbox. (Patch 0.3.2537 changed delivery so rewards go straight to inventory when space allows.)
Four things that are not a promo code
- Kickstarter backer codes — emailed one-per-backer after 1.0 launched on August 18, 2026 (wedding dress, beach-wear outfits). Steam-only for now; private.
- Gratitude Gift Pack — a free DLC (two outfit sets) claimed from the Steam store, no code needed.
- Steam keys / DLC keys — activated through Steam, not in the game.
- Multiplayer session codes — used to join a friend's island; see the multiplayer guide.
Where a real code would appear first
The developer's official X account (@IslandStarsand), the official Discord and the Steam announcements feed are the only channels Seed Sparkle Lab uses for announcements. This page is re-checked against those plus the media trackers above; the "last checked" date changes every time we look, and the verdict changes only if a code actually ships.
Codes FAQ
Are there any Starsand Island codes right now?
No. As of August 23, 2026, every source we track — the developer's Steam announcements since Early Access, Gamezebo, GameWatcher, Dexerto, MobileMatters, UrGameTips and the Steam community forums — reports zero public codes, active or expired. The redemption menu exists; the developer has simply never published a code for it.
How do I redeem a code in Starsand Island?
Load your save, press Esc (or the menu button on a controller) to open the main menu, choose Redeem Gift, type the code exactly as written and confirm with Redeem. Codes are case-sensitive. Rewards land in your inventory when there is space, otherwise check your mailbox.
I backed the Kickstarter — where is my code?
Kickstarter rewards that require a code (the wedding dress and beach-wear outfits, among others) were emailed to backers after the 1.0 launch on August 18, 2026. They are one-per-backer private codes and, according to the developer, can only be redeemed on the Steam version for now. They are not public promo codes and will never be listed here.
Is the Gratitude Gift Pack a code?
No. The Gratitude Gift Pack (Yellow Swimsuit Theme Set and Pink Frog Pajama Set) is a free DLC added in February 2026. You claim it from the Steam store page like any DLC; no code is involved.
Someone asked me for a "code" to join their island — is that the same thing?
No. Multiplayer sessions are joined through the in-game multiplayer menu (see the multiplayer guide); that session code has nothing to do with the Redeem Gift menu.
